How a XADO engine treatment is applied
Your workshop normally adds it at an oil service, so the oil level can be set correctly. These are the steps XADO Singapore gives for the AMC Maximum Twin Turbo:
Do not apply below +25 °C, and shake the can well.
Warm the engine to operating temperature, let it run 3–5 minutes, then switch off.
Pour the treatment into the oil filler neck. Never fill above the dipstick maximum.
Start the engine, let it run 3–5 minutes, then drive normally.
According to XADO, one 360 ml can treats an engine holding 3–10 L of oil, the revitalization happens over the next 1,000–1,200 km (don't change the oil during that time), and the protective layer lasts about 100,000 km before a repeat treatment is recommended.
